The NY Times has now revealed that the FBI has been investigating Trump for working for Russia! They write: ”

“In the days after President Trump fired James B. Comey as F.B.I. director, law enforcement officials became so concerned by the president’s behavior that they began investigating whether he had been working on behalf of Russia against American interests, according to former law enforcement officials and others familiar with the investigation.

The inquiry carried explosive implications. Counterintelligence investigators had to consider whether the president’s own actions constituted a possible threat to national security. Agents also sought to determine whether Mr. Trump was knowingly working for Russia or had unwittingly fallen under Moscow’s influence.”

This confirms what oaklandsocialist has been saying for years regarding Trump’s money laundering past. It also confirms what we said regarding Trump’s Syrian troop withdrawal.

Why has the mainstream capitalist media failed to cover this explosive situation up until now? True, there have been the occasional articles that get to the root of the matter – Trump’s money laundering past. (See this article for the links.) The reason for just an occasional and little noted article is to threaten Trump without destabilizing the situation too much. The mainstream of the capitalist class believed they could keep Trump under control for four years, that they could tolerate him, until they could get him out by “normal” means.

Trump’s announcement that he was going to remove the US troops from Syria “now”n(as he said at the time) was a game changer, especially since the announcement came just days after a heart-to-heart talk with Turkey’s President Erdogan, who also is a close ally of Putin. As we said at then, the timing was no accident. It caused the foremost representatives of the capitalist mainstream to resign, the main one being Jim Mattis.

It seems likely that this is just the opening salvo. If so, then the general awareness of this link will develop. This will further destabilize and already unstable political situation in the US.
