The conspiracy theory “evidence” of voter fraud that appeared in Trump’s racist video.
Trump’s racist meme of the Obamas is only a smaller part of the real threat we face. Sure, Trump is a racist, but what’s new about that? He’s said the African countries are “shit-hole countries”. He said that Haitian immigrants are eating people’s cats and dogs. He said that there are “some good people” among KKK-type marchers.
What the overwhelming majority of Americans miss is the whole other part of that video Trump posted on Truth Social. The last part of the video showed the animals in the jungle, with Trump as the lion king, accompanied by the song “The lion sleeps tonight” (although lions live on the savannah, not in the jungle). But the first part, which has been seen by almost nobody, is the most significant. At the top of this article is a screen shot of it. It repeats all the claims about voter fraud. Like the overwhelming majority of Americans, I didn’t watch the full video, but a friend of mine who did says that this screenshot above is from a far longer passage that introduced the entire video.
The entire video is not available anymore. All we know of is Trump’s racist meme. He took the video down after 12 hours – just long enough so that his 7 to 9.7 million of Trump’s followers on Truth Social will have seen it and gotten the message. That is the message that Trump and his cult/party are increasingly amplifying – voter fraud, non-citizens voting. Like me, I believe that 90% of other Americans didn’t watch the full video. But Trump made sure to leave it up long enough so his up to 9.7 million followers had a chance to watch it. They got the message.

Trump the “king of the beasts”
The rest of the message is that Trump is the king of the beasts and that all the other animals will bow down before him. Those “animals” also include the Clintons, JB Pritzger, Gavin Newsom, AOC, Adam Schiff, and others. In other words, he will seize total control, including control over the upcoming elections.
Combine that with the following:
- An increasing call for proof of citizenship – meaning either a birth certificate or a passport – in order to vote.
- Trump’s threat against voting in specific districts, for example Minneapolis, Atlanta, Philadelphia – key centers of Democratic (and also black) voters in swing states.
- A call for national (meaning Trump) control over national elections.
- Trump’s raid on Fulton County election district.
- Trump’s opposition to vote by mail.
Taken together, this leads up to mobilizing ICE and or CBP to stand outside those key districts, plus a few others like likely Democratic districts in states like Texas. Their agents would demand to see the birth certificate or passport of would-be voters. It is estimated that about 50% of Americans overall have passports, but only about 1/3 of black Americans have passports. This means they would have to have a birth certificate, but in any case the overall effect of this would be to massively depress the vote in those districts.
Trump and his lackeys are already advocating for proof of citizenship for registering to vote. It’s interesting to watch them interviewed on outlets like CNN. While they are questioned, the full implications – such as that explained above – are never raised. In other words, this plan to steal the upcoming election is being normalized.
Lawsuits? What will that accomplish since they will inevitably end up at the Trump-controlled Supreme Court. There, the Crooked Six will do one of two things: Either they will take so much time that the stolen election becomes a fait accompli (as they are doing regarding Trump’s unconstitutional tariffs). Or they will rule that the courts lack jurisdiction. Or both.
Sure, there will be protests, but mass protests haven’t stopped him in Minneapolis, so why should we expect it to stop him nationwide? Unless….
Unless the working class mobilizes as a class – mainly through the unions – and shuts down the U.S. economy.
It’s towards that which we must work. Meanwhile, don’t be distracted by whatever recent outrage Trump engages in. It’s all aimed at ensuring that he and his white/ethno nationalist, male supremacist, homophobic bigots remain in power in perpetuity.
