This is whom the “never vote lesser evil” voters have helped usher into power

To Mr. “never lesser evil” voter: You say you campaigned against Trump and project 2025, but you indeed mightily argued AGAINST voting for Harris.

As a fascist Amerika begins to govern and accelerate 5 weeks from now, I will still work with you, just as I will work with friends and colleagues who also voted third party, didn’t vote, or downplayed the decisive differences between Trump and Harris.

But I believe that was a wrong position on the part of you who refused to join in a united front to defeat Trump. You wanted to lead preventive resistance to fascism, you even had a dream that we could advance anti imperialist struggles in the storm of this election only by rejecting both major candidates equally, but you refused to make use of every available tool. It’s moral absolutism.

A typical example of the thinking of the “never vote lesser evil” voters. We will all find out that the two parties are not the same.

The latest news of course, is that Trump’s border czar aims to deport 20 million people. As if 2 fucking million wouldn’t be bad enough! And still, throughout this level of ethnic cleansing and suffering, people like you might keep reminding us that the Democrats have also deported lots of people!! Really? As the authors of the Muslim Ban and the Zero Tolerance Policy strut back into power!

Have we no idea what this means and everything this will mean in terms of suffering and cruelty? The damage this will do to the culture and consciousness of the working class and the world as a whole?!

Finally, Mr. “never vote lesser evil”, you also are on the side of both Palestine and Ukraine , and it’s clear that a Trump victory portends outright doom for both of those legitimate struggles. Russia, most of Europe , and Israel will now form a far right bloc of criminals. But hey, Killer Kamala HAD to be defeated! She didn’t earn MY vote!

Now, let’s work to resist this nightmare while we still can, but just know that there will be questions directed at those of you engaged in moral absolutism throughout 2024. If humanity survives, this will be the topic of history books. And I’ve seen all I need to see in order to reach a verdict.

Again, nobody gets a free pass to drop out of the struggle right now, whether we agree with them or not. Everyone is needed. But within the struggle for socialism, and against fascist annihilation— these questions and debates will and should remain.
