This is the first part of a two part interview with recently elected president of CWA Local 7250, Kieran Frazier Knutson. In this first part, Kieran mainly discusses how he sees his role as president as well as some of the issues with AT&T and the orientation of the labor movement as a whole. The second part focuses mainly on labor’s political involvement. In both parts, the issue of labor’s involvement – or lack of involvement – with the protests against white supremacy is discussed. The second part will be published in a day or two. Also see Why Amazon Workers Voted Down the Union and What Can Be Done.
