This afternoon, two BART employees working behind the picket line were killed by a BART train that struck them as they were working on the track.  For details, see here.

These two deaths come as BART is insisting on the right to have total control over work rules and is seeking to gut the grievance procedure. If the union leadership caves in to these demands, and if they can get this past the membership, there will be other deaths and injuries to BART workers and passengers alike.
