A small group of working class socialists have agreed to this statement on Trump’s and Netanyahu’s war against Iran and the freedom struggle inside the country. (NOTE: Also see Persian and Arabic and Urdu on Jedohehad translations.) The statement:

• Opposes the war;
• Supports the Woman Life Freedom revolution;
• Opposes Pahlavi;
• Warns against pro-fascists like Tucker Carlson, who pretends to be a friend of the Iranian people;
• Warns of the danger of of the Christian fundamentalists who are talking about “end times” and could actually lead to nuclear war;
• Explains that a new working class socialist movement is building, based on the words of Karl Marx: Workers of all lands unite! You have nothing to lose but your chains. You have a world to win.

No kings, from Iran to America!

We working class socialists send our solidarity to the people of Iran and to the people of the entire region. Already the US and Israel have bombed residential buildings, hospitals, and schools – just as Israel has done in Gaza and Russia in Ukraine. These are wars against the people of Iran, Palestine and Ukraine. We unequivocally condemn the US and Israeli attacks on the people of Iran.

The Trump/Vance/Miller Triumvirate wants to bring down a regime that threatens its dominance. The Triumvirate is seeking this alongside its ally, Israel. The Triumvirate doesn’t care in the slightest about the Iranian regime’s repression. The Triumvirate and Israel see the “Women, Life, Freedom” movement as a threat, and they want to be sure that this movement does not succeed at the end of the present government. In the place of a movement that represents the working class values of that movement, Trump and Netanyahu want to install a new repressive regime. Trump has talked about installing survivors of the present regime. He’s flirted with installing Pahlavi as a king, possibly along with the MEK. Trump has not even ruled out working with remnants of the IRGC and the Basiji. This right wing, Christian fundamentalist, dictatorial US president has said that he will retain power over who rules Iran next! If he is unable to achieve this, he and his partner in crime Netanyahu prefer to see Iran divided and in chaos. In fact, that is probably Netanyahu’s first choice anyway. The US and Israeli regimes hate and fear the women, life freedom struggle because it sets an example for workers all around the world.

Incredible as it may seem, a secondary reason for Trump’s attack on Iran is to distract attention away from his involvement with the child molester Jeffrey Epstein and the Trump-Epstein files.

Many of the air strikes are concentrated in Rojhelat and Tehran. We think that is because the Kurdish people are in many ways leading the struggle against the Iranian regime. Now the Trump/Vance/Miller Triumvirate is trying to subvert and divide the movement for Kurdish liberation by arming one part of that movement. The Triumvirate will end up abandoning them whenever it suits them, just as they did in Rojava, Syria. We support the Kurdish people’s struggle for freedom and believe that their rights and the rights and interests of all working class people are inseparable.

Some who pose as “socialists” and oppose the war don’t support the Iranian people’s struggle against the regime. These same “socialists” defend Russia’s war against the people of Ukraine – a war which is not that different from the US/Israeli war against Iran or Israel’s war against Palestine. These “socialists” have nothing to do with real socialism, which bases itself first last and always on international working class solidarity.

We also understand that American Tucker Carlson is getting his supposed anti-war views heard more widely around the world. Comrades! Don’t be fooled! Tucker Carlson is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. He and his friends helped get Trump elected. He supports attacks against immigrants in the United States. He hates Muslims here and around the world. Tucker Carlson also hates Jews – not just supporters of Israel, but all Jews. That is why he opposes Israel, not because he supports the Palestinian people. Tucker Carlson stands with fascism. He is a bitter enemy of the working class.

Also there are Christian nationalist fascists within the US military who are calling the war against Iran a “holy war” and saying it’s part of god’s “end-times” plan. US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth is closely aligned with them. The actual use of nuclear weapons would closely follow the view of these fascist fanatics.

The world needs a new working class socialist movement. In the mountains of Rojhelat, in the streets of cities from Tehran to Minneapolis, within every working class in the world, the seeds of that movement are starting to sprout. Together, we will help those seeds grow into an unstoppable force. Workers of all lands unite! You have nothing to lose but your chains. You have a world to win.
