Children in Gaza inspect the remains of one of the cars of the World Central Kitchen.
Extermination by hunger happening now. Australian government still “concerned”, manages to actually “condemn”, first time using the word, some extremely genocidal statements from some Israeli leaders, but still won’t condemn the actions of starving people to death and bombing to death over 60,000 people and destroying literally everything standing for 20 months; that’s all self-defence. Trump still 100% in support of Israeli extremism, despite constant illusions expressed everywhere that, despite all the evidence, he is less dedicated to Israel than other US leaders. Dream on – I sincerely wish you were right.
China and Russia
But we know all that. Now for the rest of the world. China remains Israel’s largest trading partner, and its companies are helping colonise the West Bank. Russia is a major supplier of oil and coal to Israel to keep its killing machines in operation. Tell me, apologists for other imperialisms, what would happen if Russia and China decided to load a bunch of big ships with food and medical supplies and sailed into Gaza? Would Israel bomb Russian and Chinese ships? Would the US bomb Russian and Chinese civilian ships bringing food? To ask is to answer.
WHO
WHO begs Israel for ‘mercy’ in Gaza, as 29 children, elderly die from starvation
The head of the World Health Organization on Thursday urged Israel to have “mercy” in the Gaza war and insisted peace would be in Israel’s own interests, as 29 Palestinians reportedly died in the enclave from hunger.
In an emotional intervention at the WHO annual assembly, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the war was hurting Israel as well as Palestinians and would not bring a lasting solution to the war in the region.
“You can imagine how people are suffering. It’s really wrong to weaponise food. It’s very wrong to weaponise medical supplies.”
This comes as WHO emergencies director Michael Ryan also said that 2.1 million people in Gaza were “in imminent danger of death”.
“We need to end the starvation, we need to release all hostages and we need to resupply and bring the health system back online,” he said.
The WHO said Palestinians in the devastated territory were suffering acute shortages of food, water, medical supplies, fuel, and shelter with 29 Palestinian children and elderly dying from starvation since a siege was tightened on Gaza.
Four major hospitals have had to suspend medical services in the past week, due to their proximity to hostilities or evacuation zones, and attacks.
Only 19 of the Gaza Strip’s 36 hospitals remain operational, with staff working in “impossible conditions”, the UN health agency said in a statement.
“At least 94 percent of all hospitals in the Gaza Strip are damaged or destroyed,” it said, while north Gaza “has been stripped of nearly all health care”.

Presidet Ramaphosa meets like about “white genocide” in South Africa. He should have flung the word back in Trump’ face. Meanhile US media ignores the issue of genocide.
Oaklandsocialist comments: Even heads of state who criticize Israel still see rhis historic crime as normal. For example, South African president Ramaphosa reently met with Israel’s #1 collaborator, Trump. There, Ramaphosa was met with the lie about white genocide. Ramaphosa should have flung the “genocide” claim back in Trump’s face, regarding Gaza, but he was silent on the issue, and not a single news outlet mentioned this. As for the great left hope, Bernie Sanders: he expresses criticisms of Israel. Criticisms? How about “criticisms” of Hitler’s genocide? As for Trump himself, his criticism of Netanyahu is based on the fact that the latter’s mounting war crimes make it all but impossible to make money off of real estate investments in a new Gaza Riviera, plus it puts Trump’s dream of a Nobel Prize off the table. And, yes, it really is that crude. What will be the historic consequences of all the capitalist powers normalizing this open genocide?
