For those of you who do facebook: While workers can and must fight for their economic interests and for safe working conditions in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have to link that struggle with a more long term struggle against the actual cause of this crisis. That cause is how capitalist development clashes with the laws of nature – specifically the rise of factory farming and wild habitat destruction. Oaklandsocialist has published several articles on these issues as well as a program for the workers movement. We have now put up a Facebook group dedicated to discussing this point of view.
