Video: Swiss “peace” conference – Estonian P.M. warns against land for “peace”

The Ukraine Socialist Solidarity Campaign was the only ones to warn against the tendency of Western governments to be willing to trade Ukrainian land for “peace” with Russia at the recent Swiss “peace” conference. Here, this two minute speech by the Estonian prime minister shows that that warning was justified.

The milquetoast final communique called for “the resolution of disputes through peaceful means as principles of international law.” In other words, this was a concession to Russia. Even this communique did not get the agreement of Russia’s allies. India, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Thailand, Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates refused to sign. Some refused to sign allegedly because Russia was not formally invited. South Africa legitimately criticized the conference on the grounds that Israel participated. Brazil only sent an observer.
