Iran War: And the Winner is…. Tucker Carlson!

Najes Bajoghli is an anthropolgist and associate professor at Johns Hopkins University. She is also an immigrant from Iran, and she recently wrote a fascinating aritlce in Foreign Affairs journal entitled “Iran’s Long Game”. Bajoghli explains that the Iranian regime has been preparing for this sort of asymmetric war ever since the Iran-Iraq war of 1980-88. A subtext of her argument is that although the theocracy and the “Revolutionary Guard” (IRGC) complement each other, the real base of the regime has shifted from the former to the latter. The IRGC has supplanted the theocracy as the driving force in the regime. Among other things, the IRGCc has decentralized its structure, making it almost impossible to wipe it out by normal military means.

On the other side, the US and Israel cannot “lose” this war. They can cause far more damage to Iran than Iran can cause to them.

Bajoghli writes: “The predictable result is that rather than being deterred, Iran’s military will become more aggressive. Decapitation may, if anything, accelerate the very escalation it was meant to prevent. And if the Islamic Republic survives this war, it will be led by younger, combat-hardened commanders who believe they defeated the United States and Israel, despite the enormous cost. A postwar Iran with such a leadership will be a more revisionist Iran, not a more moderate one….

“The United States and Israel, with their overwhelming firepower, may be winning the battles. Iran, with 35 years of preparation and a strategy calibrated to outlast rather than outgun, may be winning the war.”

That is why short of nearly wiping out almost all of Iran society – genocide, in other words – it’s impossible to “destroy” the IRGC. It’s also nearly impossible to destroy its military capacity. By any measure, the IRGC cannot “win” this war, but it doesn’t have to “win” by standard military metrics; it just has to survive – only to arise again from the ashes.

In other words, neither side can “lose” and neither side can “win”.

It’s true that Russia is benefiting from this war in that the rise in oil prices is helping the Russian economy. But the attacks on Iran mean that Iran cannot really help Russia in its invasion of Ukraine. And China is benefitting too, despite the rise in oil prices. But China holds some $760 billion in US debt and if the dollar collapses, all of a sudden that debt collapses in value.

All of this is why the one true winner in this war is Tucker Carlson!

A student I know at a Cal State University school recently was telling me how extremely popular Tucker Carlson has become at his school as well as in social media circles populated by people his age. And a recent Politico article reported the same. Recently, Carlson interviewed “Professor Jiang”. The first question Carlson asked was: “Do you think Donald Trump has betrayed America First?”

Carlson is using his opposition to the war as a not-so-secret weapon to popularize his real cause. He and “Professor Jiang” discussed population changes. Carlson discussed the increase in immigration from India into Canada. Carlson: “Well, I mean, it’s a kind of genocide, right against Canadians, people whose ancestors built the country. But you wonder what the purpose is like. This is clear, because it is happening all over the West, all over the English speaking world, in the white countries, it’s not an accident. It’s not organic. So it’s a big picture, you know that spans from Australia to Ottawa. What are we? What is that?” Carlson said.

Then late on: “I don’t even think that’s up for debate. I mean, of course, just look at the bottom line numbers. Of course, the white populations are killed on purpose. And the question is, why? And I don’t have the faintest idea, and there’s a lot of speculation as to who’s doing it…. I’m not sure how many leaders really do have control of their countries. I don’t know how many countries actually have sovereignty. I really don’t know the answer. Something is going on.”

Carlson’s followers will know who he thinks is “behind it”, who’s controlling all of these world leaders: Israel, AKA “the Jews”. The idiotic “left” in the United States is falling in line. From this war to Jeffrey Epstein – everything is a plot by Israel according to this “left”. (Note: If Epstein’s name were O’Leary or Ramos, does anybody think he’d be accused of being a Mossad agent?) US and Israeli propaganda supplements plain, garden variety anti-Semitism in equating Israel with “the Jews”. Most of the US left, in fact, turns off whenever they hear “anti-Semitism”. They assume the term can only be aimed at those (this writer included) who oppose Zionism. The left is almost entirely unaware of the actual sympathy for Hitler that is developing. And so it is that much of the US left is perfectly willing to cohabit a space with Nazi-supporting bigots like Tucker Carlson and Marjorie Taylor Greene.

It is a suicide mission. What this “left” doesn’t realize is that whenever Carlson is ready, he and his ilk will turn on the left: “Do you know who else the Jews control?” they will ask.”The communists!” they will answer.

Then all hell will break loose.
